The American School of Dubai (ASD) is located in the beautiful, clean,
magnificent, safe, glorious city of Dubai,
in the progressive, modern, liberal federation known as the United
Arab Emirates.
The school was known as the Jumairah American School (JAS) for the suburb
of Dubai in which it
is located, and the name was eventually changed to American School
of Dubai.
I attended the school from 5th through 9th grades and "graduated"
in 1982, in the days when the school went
through only the 9th grade.
For the most part, my classmates went on to boarding schools in the
States, England, Greece, Switzerland,
Spain, and other countries. Most eventually completed at least
their undergraduate studies.
